Let me start off by saying this is not an April Fools' Day joke. When I looked in my email this morning, I had a moment of, "Oh, this is just not funny." But as it turns out, it was completely serious!
I've received several rejections from queries this week, and I received another form rejection this morning. No big deal. I'm getting used to it and even perhaps expecting it. What I did not expect was that the agent who rejected me would forward my query on to another agent in the literary agency. So imagine my surprise when I opened my inbox again to find an email from a different agent telling me I had been referred by the agent who rejected me. Whoa, what?!
I've sent off the information she requested, and I'm crossing my fingers. I still don't expect much to come of it, but obviously, something I'm doing is receiving some level of success, so I'll keep plugging away for now. Yay!
